JIMIX BIOGRAPHY

It's all in the mix! Jimmy Klimsop was born in Surinam from Creole parents of Chinese, African, European and Indio origins. In his early childhood he moved to the colonial motherland, the Netherlands.

From an early age on Jimmy, nicknamed Jimix, was drawn to any and all types of music. He chose to study music together with the bass guitar as his main instrument.

After playing different genres of music in diverse bands, he founded the Metal-Funk formation, Scäm Luiz and moved to Germany. That is when Jimmy discovered his vocal abilities. All of this lead to sharing the stage with many great artists such as Anastacia, Joe Cocker, Lionel Richie, Faithless, Ricky Martin.

In 2007 Jimmy was ready to initiate his own band, Jimix, where he could let his own song writing skills flourish. Since then he has found and consolidated his individual music-style, representing his unique personality and artistic background.

Experimental approaches to music and arrangement, has lead to Jimix's unique sound as heard in this first album : "Club Rock"- music is born.

Jimix's passion is to perform live. His charismatic, positive and convincing personality is expressed through his band. Captivating and powerful, Jimix will entertain you with memorable songs and floor filling vibes.

His own joy for his music is transported to his audience when he takes to the stage thrilling everyone with his power-filled presence and performance. It's his home.
